Known for his quickness and explosive athleticism, Gibson had the most rushing yards in the greater Houston area as a senior at KHS. Playing in one of the most competitive 5-A High School conferences in Texas, Gibson excelled at his position, earning numerous accolades. Besides his running ability, he could catch the ball out of the backfield, creating a dual threat for defenders. Gibson had a strong work ethic and a deep-seated desire to win. He was a Chess Club member and a Science Club member. Gibson transferred to Tarleton State University from Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, where he set the record for most receptions in a game. Gibson is Majoring in education. He is the son of Mable and James Gibson and has three siblings, one of which is Horace Gibson, a Bearkat football player (KHS 2007).
