Achievements:

During an impressive football career at KHS, including first-team all-district honors as a senior, and honorable mention all-district his sophomore and junior years, Lathan helped lead Klein to two playoff appearances. Lathan also ran track for four years and played basketball two seasons for the Bearkats before being recruited to Texas Tech where he played on the scout team in 2001 and was named defensive scout team MVP at the annual awards banquet in 2002. Whether covering a tight end in the flat, stuffing the run on an off-tackle play or pinning his ears back on an all out blitz, long hours in the weight room and countless agility drills provided Lathan with the skills and athleticism to play at the next level. Lathan majored in restaurant, hotel and institutional management, and also enjoys baseball in his free time.
