With a stellar football career at KHS behind him, which included all-district and outstanding defensive back, Eannarelli spent a year at West Point prep school where he earned the Ranger Award for outstanding defensive player, before transferring to Angelo State where he saw action in the secondary his first year. Eannarelli was known as a “headhunter” in the secondary for his bone-shaking tackling that had many of the characteristics of a head-on collision. His breakout performance came in a Bearkat Alley drill during Spring Training where he hit the running back so hard that the impact could be heard throughout the stadium. That single incident sealed his promotion to varsity & earned him the headhunter status he so richly deserved. Whether covering the deep ball over the top, providing run support on a sweep, or pinning his ears back in an all-out blitz, Eannarelli has the skills, athleticism & work ethic to excel at the collegiate level.
