Childs lettered three seasons as a defensive lineman at KHS Before be recruited to Utah State University. After being red shirted his first year at Utah State, Childs is widely expected to see time in the interior on the defensive line in future years. Childs is a native Texan – born in Katy, Texas - has five siblings, and is married to his wife Stacey. He has been on an LDS Church mission to Brazil, plans to major in business and history, and would like to obtain an MBA. He enjoys reading and would like to coach little league football in the future. His grandfather, Frank Childs, played basketball for Brigham Young University.
